  02/07/98 A wealthy teenager named Thomas Rhodes once offered Douglas Fairbanks $1 million if he would teach him gymnastics. The actor was an expert gymnast. Fairbanks, a multi-millionaire himself, rejected the offer himself and reportedly told Rhodes he was too liberal with his money in Liberty Bonds, Fairbanks said, he would teach Rhodes the stunts for free.
